Wineries Montenegero

Montenegro has the largest vineyard in one complex in Europe. The “Plantaža” vineyard has about 10 million vines. That is an impressive data worth mentioning.

While the ancestors planted and cultivated vines in Ćemovsko polje, the good practice of making wine in the vineyard was passed down from generation to generation, and this is how it is today in numerous private wineries. In the fertile land, illuminated by the Sun for about 270 days, winegrowers and winemakers in Montenegro carefully leave one and a half to two kilograms on one vine in order to keep the grapes sweeter and the wine to be of better quality.

An old Roman proverb says: “To get to know a people, sit at their table, try their food and drink their wine, then you will know what kind of people they are”.

In Montenegro, wine production is love, passion, and a status symbol. To have the best wine, prestige is what all winegrowers and winemakers aspire to.

Montenegrin vineyards and cellars are places enveloped in a special atmosphere, green areas with the smell of nature, silence and peace suitable for hedonists with a glass of divine drink, in three words – pleasant touristic micro-spaces where you have ambience, emotion and experience.
