Winery Djukovic
The Đuković Winery is located in the largest village of Crmnica, Gluhi Do, from which there is an open view of two national parks – Lake Skadar and the peaks of Prokletije. The winery is about 15 kilometers from Bar, 35 kilometers from Podgorica airport, and 7-8 km from Lake Skadar.

HOST STORY
The village of Gluhi Do is authentic. Preserved stone houses, fences… it is an ideal environment to evoke the spirit of the past times of the Crmnica region. Mladen Đuković, a successful businessman, has returned to the village of his ancestors, who is building an exclusive “wine offer”. Mladen cherishes antiques with special emotion, which he has “woven” into the needs of modern times.
Mladen Đuković is one of the youngest winemakers in the Bar municipality. In the Đuković house, wine production is a tradition, and before Mladen, the vineyards were established by his great-grandfather, grandfather… He was motivated to return to the village by his love for the “roots”, inherited love for viticulture and winemaking.
In the Crmnica style, as part of the “Đuković” winery, there is a wine cellar with a huge vault made of natural materials: stone and wood, which have been used in this area for centuries.
What does volat mean for the people of Crmnica – if a house doesn’t have a volat, it’s like it’s not “alive”. The beauty of Crmnica’s stone houses delights tourists who visit this place in increasing numbers, and the area is an inspiration for television productions, so shots of popular series in the Balkans were filmed in Gluho Dol.

“Đuković” winery is a place for hedonists. In this winery, everything is designed for enjoyment. The natural shade of the tavern in the stone cellar allows you to enjoy food and wine during hot summer days, and in the winter it offers the warmth of coziness. When the temperatures are high, refreshment is possible in the pool in front of the Đuković Winery.
The winery is located under the rim of Paštrovacka mountain, to the top of which numerous hiking trails lead. It is interesting that Đuković named its first wine after the highest peak, Plavnik.
You can reach Sutorman on the footpath from Vinarija Đuković to Sutomor in less than four hours.
The weekend at the Đuković winery should be used for a trip to Lake Skadar, enjoy cruising, kayaking, fishing…
Depending on the season, if you are a fan of active vacations, you can also spend time in the garden in front of the winery.
WHAT TO SEE?
Mladen Đuković has an entrepreneurial vision, so in the building of the former village school, he realizes the Wine House project. In Gluho Dol, visitors can see the assortment of all wines produced in the Crmnica region.
In the immediate vicinity of the Đuković winery is the birthplace of one of the greatest Montenegrin painters, Nikola Gvozdenović, professor emeritus of the University of Montenegro, whose inspiration for artistic paintings is often motivated by details from Gluhi Dol.
In the largest village of Crmnica, there used to be nine churches.
Numerous antiques can be seen in the Đuković Winery facility, for which you also need to plan time.
Where to stay
Winery “Đuković” is part of a catering complex, which includes rustic apartments with a view of Crmničko polje, and can host up to 50 people. On his estate in Gluho Dol, Mladen built five apartments “in the old style”, with the intention that each one will be a story in itself with a taste of ancient times, which, like exhibits, are associated with fiddles, old sewing machines, chairs, tapestries… that decorate them.
